It is through this love for our school and our children that we have founded the PTSA.
The Saint Michaels School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a voluntary organization bringing together parents, teachers, students, and the community in order to build parent involvement in combination with St. Michaels School and to promote activities that relate to the welfare of the school community.
Mission Statement: Our mission is to establish a close relationship between families and SMS where parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently to present a unified effort to secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
Our Goals:
* To share information between parents, students, teachers, and community to provide needed support.
* To work together to provide activities and events that promote the overall excitement found within our school
* To work hard to communicate with parents and teachers so that a more active involvement can occur to promote the SMS experience.
* To hold monthly meetings to address the communication needs and desires of the parents.
One way we are here to help is in our program Families Helping Families - where we provide support to families who experience a sickness, death, family tragedy or other unexpected need. We include but do not limit the support as with the help of providing meals, car pooling, letters and prayers of support. Through fellowship and caring may we all become one family.
Meetings: We hold a monthly meeting to Let Your Voice be heard and resolve any questions you may have. If you cannot attend the meeting our doors are always open to speak with you.
We are promoting student involvement in the education process through contests, trivia questions, and events.
