Reading Month

March is Reading Month at St. Joseph School!

For the past several years St. Joseph School has declared March as "Reading Month". During this month students are encouraged to read, read, read! Every year has a different theme and have included "Hats Off to Reading" and "Reading Around the World". During the month we participate in various activities such as Buddy Reading (this is when different grade levels get together to read to one another), Book Trivia and "Stop…Drop…and Read" (even the teachers get to read their favorite book during this time!).

During Reading Month each class has a set amount they have to read to reach their goal. For each goal the students reach, they earn a special day during "Reward Week". In the past this has included "Hat Day", "Team Day", "Game Day" and one of everyone’s favorites, "Wacky Wednesday".
