Holiday Events & Celebrations -- We enjoy the holidays in meaningful ways throughout the year including a Valentine’s Day Family Dance, Halloween Parade & Celebration, Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner, Santa’s Sale, among other events. Parent participation make these events extra special! Religious Life -- St. Agnes students participate in weekly liturgies at St. Agnes Church as well as other celebrations during the year, including the Feast Pet Blessing Ceremony and May Crowning. Interscholastic Athletics -- Boys and Girls in grades 3 to 6 participate in Mini Hoop Basketball. Instumental Music -- Students in Grades 4-6 can take part in our Instrumental Music program. Community Service -- Students at St. Agnes School participate in many local service projects including collecting food for the Avon Food Pantry, lasagna dinners for the infirmed, can and bottle drives for various charities, clothing drives for the homeless and visits to the Avon Nursing Home. Field Trips -- Our students learn outside the classroom! They visit the RMSC, Seneca Park Zoo, Strasenberg Planetarium, Mills Mansion, Genesee Country Museum and many other locations; they attend numerous productions at Nazareth College and SUNY Brockport; they cruise down the Erie Canal; they travel to Boston for the bi-annual 5th/6th grade Whale Watch! St. Agnes students memorable learning experiences always last a lifetime! Catholic Schools Week -- We celebrate our Catholic identity in early February each year. The students enjoy many special activities during this fun-filled week. Family Activities -- Parents, grandparents, students and faculty all enjoy our Back-to-School Picnic, Potluck Supper & Talent Show, End of Year Picnic, dinners, dances and many Fine Arts & Cultural Enrichment activities. Christmas Pageant -- Our entire school presents a meaningful Christmas musical every holiday season. The St. Agnes School Yearbook -- The school yearbook is a wonderful collection of memories. Our 5th & 6th grade students participate in Yearbook Club. Graduation -- Our Pre-K and Kindergarten students don their caps and gowns each June for this very special ceremony. The 6th grader students celebrate their graduation in a school-wide mass and ceremony on "Moving Up Night." Valedictorian, Salutatorian, Father Bennett and Perfect Attendance Awards are given during this special evening. Community Involvement -- St. Agnes School sponsors Daisy, Brownie & Junior Girl Scout Troops, Boy Scout Troops and local athletic teams.
